My first Extraction series, in which I converted digital satellite data into physical works by manually applying minerals onto copper plates, has found its way back into the digital space.

The series is now launched on Dahai.art, where it can be viewed and collected in both physical and digital forms.

This is part of Residenzpflicht, a residency organized by the amazing artist group msk7 and supported by Senatsverwaltung Berlin. Currently I am building the green screen to use for photo and video works with the residents.

MSK7 Artist Residency

I am glad to announce I am amongst ten artists selected for the MSK7 Residency in a Berlin refugee shelter. In September I will live in a yellow trailer in the shelter’s courtyard for one month, build a sculptural green screen as a starting point and run a blog with the people I will meet there.

Phil Thompson and I have been awarded the Duveen Travel Scholarship for a research trip to China. We will visit reproductions of European towns near Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing later this year
